Siriraj Bimuksthan

Siriraj has expanded into a hospital larger than any other hospital in the region, providing treatment to patients regardless of whether they are poor, good or poor. Many leading-edge academics and missions that create benefits for the people and society continue to take place here. Because The more Siriraj grows, the more congested it becomes. Many museums in Siriraj have had to close to make way for other uses.

The hopes and dreams came true
when the State Railway of Thailand gave the Faculty of Medicine
Siriraj Hospital the land of 33-rai (approx. 53,000 sq. meters)
that was the location of the old Thonburi Railway Station.
As a result, the “Sayamindradhiraj Medical Institute” project has begun.
This project consists of the new hospital
and a new research building under the new administration system. It also features
a Thai herb garden that helps provide fresh air
for Siriraj members and people in the neighborhood.
As for the old Thonburi Railway Station building, the delivery building
and the warehouse which are conserved for their architectural value,
they have undergone a renovation and are transformed into “Siriraj Bimuksthan Museum.” Thus,
the long history and the past stories are gathered here so that visitors can understand
the background and the pride of this place.
